The time has come for me to venture out into the big wide world of grown up clothing. I've had a number of requests for some big girl sizes for a while now. After the initial shock of finding out that a number of proper grown up women love my designs I put the idea to the back of my mind for a while plucking up the courage to take the plunge
At the end of the day appealing to a kids sense of fun and drama. Kids also aren't at all self conscious or afraid to experiment with their clothing. Just think about how often you spot a kid out shopping as spiderman or a ballerina.
Designing for adults, gulp....well I have a hard time considering myself one most of the time.
Once I'd experimented with a new frock pattern with raglan style sleeves venturing into bigger designs didn't seem such a huge move. The raglan sleeve adds flexibility to the fit which a regular sleeve does not.

Let's hear it for the boys
The first design for boys....*knees wobbling*
Using this thoroughly boring 'The Clash' t.shirt which was in dire need of a make over. I just didn't think this would appeal to anyone of the female persuasion I decided something boyish was in order.
