Blimey I did it !!

For those of you who are techno savvy designing your own website is easy, for the rest of us it's a time consuming exercise with much hair pulling and angry bursts of expletives!!
But after many hours of aching eyes and hair loss I finally managed to do it.....A new friend on facebook 'Caro' of 'Predominantly Print' had told me about 'wix' a free flash website builder.  It has loads of templates to work with and is a, I say simple, matter of dragging and dropping text, photos and links.
So take a look and let me know what you think.  I love reading your comments !!

Awards finals spot surprise for shy Nicola

HORNSBY: Nicola Thomas has been selected as a finalist in the 2011 Bio-Oil AusMumpreneur Awards.

As the artist behind Enoch and Plonk, Ms Thomas said she was stunned to be selected as a finalist.

“I’ve only been doing dresses for a few months and didn’t think anyone would nominate me,” she said. “I had to get talked into it because I am a little shy.”

Ms Thomas said she craved a creative lifestyle after giving up teaching.

“Before having my two kids I was a teacher of art and design for 10 years,” she said.

“I stayed at home to cherish every minute of being a mum but I needed something to stop me from going a little insane.

“So I began designing, crafting and making stuff at home.”

Beginning Enoch and Plonk as an outlet for her artwork, Ms Thomas starting creating one-of-a-kind T-shirts in November last year.

“That quickly developed into a small business which now upcycles tees and stretch tops into unique and stylish dresses for kids,” she said.

“I like to think the business offers exceptional quality with great workwomanship and uniqueness.”

Ms Thomas wants to give advice to others about thinking of starting their own enterprise.

“Stop putting it off,” she said, “Do what you love and feel passionate about. Be the best you can be.”
